I grew up in Victoria and moved to Vancouver to complete my master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences. I’m pleased to be back on the Island!
I learned about the Audiology profession after my grandma was diagnosed with hearing loss. After spending a day shadowing in a hearing clinic, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in Audiology and do my part in making hearing healthcare more accessible, especially for individuals who speak English as a second language. I speak four languages including Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and English.
After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at UVic, I worked various roles relating to mental health at the BC Cancer Agency, VGH, and at Queen Alexandra hospital. I am passionate about using my experience to better understanding how hearing loss can impact your mental health and to provide the best audiological care I can.
In my spare time, my rottweiler and a husky keep me extremely busy and active. I enjoy trying new restaurants with my husband and hiking with my pups.
I look forward to meeting you at the Broadmead Hearing Clinic.
