Siemens, a well known company that had a private hearing aid division for many years, sold its hearing aid division to a private equity group called Sivantos in 2014. Sivantos has since launched a hearing aid brand called Signia. In 2018, Sivantos merged with Widex to create WS Audiology.
The Integrated Experience (IX) Platform
Signia released their newest platform Integrated Xperience in the fall of 2023.
The IX platform features Signia’s new RealTime Conversation Enhancement, which is a breakthrough in hearing aid technology constantly analyzing, augmenting, and adapting to your sound environment.
First, it carefully considers 192,000 datapoints a second to understand your environment and the people you are talking with.
Next, it locks on to and boosts the voices of all the people you are talking to, helping you hear them clearer against the background noise.
Finally, it seamlessly adjusts 1000 times a second as the conversation moves and shifts to ensure you are always part of the action and never miss out.
Signia is the first hearing aid manufacturer to the market with a rechargeable, completely-in-the-canal hearing aid, the Silk IX.
