One time I read an article about Bill Gates and how as he moved between rooms in his house the thermostats knew he was in those rooms and the temperatures and the lighting changed based on his preferences for each individual room. At the time that I heard that, I thought that was incredible and today, I just learned at the Hearing Innovations Expo about Starkey‘s new hearing aid that they’re going to introduce as soon as the iPhone ios 7 is released. This hearing aid allows the user to program on his iPhone different settings based on different locations. For example, if you go to Tim Hortons every Tuesday, you can physically change the settings in your hearing aids, save those and then geotag that setting, so the next time you walk into Tim Hortons your hearing aids will automatically switch to that setting without you doing anything.
This incredible technology is something I’m looking forward to seeing when the ios 7 is released, potentially as soon as this summer.
