Here in Victoria, most of us jumped on the Seattle Seahawks bandwagon and were impressed by the youth, strength and determination of this team. My favorite player is fullback Derrick Coleman who is hard of hearing and uses hearing aids in both ears. When young Jack Coleman (no relation) saw this commercial he became an instant fan and with the help of other actually met Derrick face to face in times square two days before the Superbowl. Derrick surprised young Jack with a signed football and Jersey. Derrick recently did an interview with NBC sports and he says “I don’t ever really use my hearing aid as an excuse. I’ll find a different excuse before I use my hearing as an excuse.”
