A couple of days ago, I had the privilege of speaking at the Rotary Club meeting in Oak Bay. Being a past Rotarian, I know how welcoming and friendly Rotarians are, but today, I felt welcomed right away by my hostess Lori. My talk was regarding the changing face of the industry and how more hearing aid manufacturers are purchasing up independent clinics and thereby mandating the sale of their brand in those clinics. This has changed many aspects of the industry and it makes me proud to be independent in this changing dynamic.
I enjoyed my lunch with Rotary and they gave me a coffee mug, which has the four way test to remind me of being ethical in business:
Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
In my business and practice, I can proudly answer yes to all of these questions.
