I grew up in Victoria and moved to Vancouver to complete my master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences. I’m pleased to be back on the Island!
I learned about the Audiology profession after my grandma got hearing loss. After spending a day shadowing in the hearing clinic, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in Audiology and do my part in making hearing healthcare more accessible, especially for individuals who speak English as a second language. I speak four languages including Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, and English.
My undergraduate degree is in Psychology, so I can also apply my knowledge of psychology and mental health for my clients – as we know hearing loss commonly affects mental health. I have worked and volunteered in various mental health related roles at the BC Cancer Agency, pediatric mental health at VGH, and at Queen Alexandra hospital.
In my spare time, my Rottweiler and a husky keep me extremely busy and active. I enjoy trying new restaurants with my fiancé and hiking with my pups.
I look forward to meeting you at the Broadmead Hearing Clinic.
